2016 Hip Hop Honors: All Hail The Queens!

We hope you all were able to witness all the greatness and beauty that was displayed last night during the 2016 Hip Hop Honors, presented by VH1. If not, we've got you covered!
We haven't enjoyed an awards show this much in a very long time. We adored the fact that legends were honored now while they're still with us, not just because they have passed away! The production was entirely dedicated to the queens in the MC game! A show completely dedicated to women who have had such a huge influence on the music industry and in our lives was long overdue!

Queen Latifah is a pioneer in the game and she taught women to love themselves, be strong and never allow a man to degrade us! Salt-n-Peppa and Spinderella were spicy and bold, and taught us not to be ashamed of our sexuality, but to embrace it while remaining a lady! Missy Elliot changed the music video game with her creative and innovative productions and her lyrics were and continue to be supa dupa fly! Lil' Kim. Boy do we love Lil' Kim. She represents our hometown, Brooklyn, with her sassy, sexy hard core lyrics. She proved she could be feminine but still be able to rock with the heavy hitting males in the industry!

And to top it off, we saw so much BROWN! Beautiful!
