Despite what you heard on the news regarding Summer Jam this year, it the best concert by far. We couldn't possibly know what was going on outside in the parking lot because there were too many GREAT moments of Hip Hop and R&B going on inside the stadium.
We're just going to jump to Fabolous set, so many surprise guests! Busta Rhymes, Remy Ma, Fat Joe, Mobb Deep, The Lox, Method Man and Red Man, The Queen B herself Lil' Kim and Mase. You can't even imagine the explosion of excitement from the crowd as each artist touched that stage.
We were also glad that there were more R&B artists performing this year, like Omarion, Trey Songz & Chris Brown. Our favorite Beauté Brownie Teyana Taylor hit the festival stage and brought out Total which was an amazing moment for her. We're glad that we are trying to keep R&B alive because Hip Hop has definitely taken over these days.
Speaking of Chris Brown, his performance might have been our favorite. You already know he danced his behind off but his surprise guest was 50 Cent who always has the ability to bring the crowd to their feet!
Kendrick Lamar also brought out SZA and Big Sean shut the stage down with his hits as usual. When Meek Mill & Nicki Minaj aka Omeeka came out we almost lost it. I don't think anybody was surprised to see Nicki Minaj hit the stage with her boo though!
Overall the concert was great! We thought Hot 97 did a great job putting together a great line up this year!
