Brownie Power: Tiffany Haddish Makes History

One of our absolute favorite movies of the year was "Girls Trip" starring Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Regina Hall and our new fave Tiffany Haddish.

"Girls Trip" was an absolutely hilarious (and at moments a tear jerking) flick and Tiffany was the star that shined the brightest. In fact, some would say she was the "break-out star" but she's been on the scene for quite a while, which we didn't know initially! A little background for you from Wikipedia:

After guest starring on several television series, Haddish gained prominence as Jackie on the first season of the OWN television drama If Loving You Is Wrong from 2014 to 2015. From 2015 to 2017, she starred as Nekeisha Williams on the NBC sitcom The Carmichael Show. After appearing in the 2016 comedy film Keanu, Haddish made her film breakthrough as Dina in the 2017 film Girls Trip, for which she received critical acclaim.

Come to find out, Tiffany's story alone is inspirational. She openly spoke about being homeless in LA and even about her troubled childhood in her Showtime special "SHE READY! From the Hood to Hollywood!" that aired on August 18, 2017.

Now, we are congratulating Tiffany for making history by becoming the first black female stand-up comic to host Saturday Night Live in its 43 seasons. Amazing! We are so happy for this bubbly and fabulous around the way girl. We see big things coming her way in the very near future!
