This just might be one of the dopest things we've scrolled upon this year. Pirelli's 2018 calendar is all-black, which has not happened since 1987.
The calendar was photographed by Tim Walker and was styled by Vogue U.K. Editor in chief Edward Enninful imagined an all-black cast embodying the the classic Lewis Carroll tale, Alice in Wonderland.
Not only is the concept dope in itself, but Pirelli recruited an all-star cast. Naomi Campbell, the British supermodel and actress, features in her fourth Calendar, explaining that she has “done it for four decades,” with each Calendar being “all so different, but all so iconic.” Joining her are Australian model Adut Akech, Ghanaian-British fashion model and feminist activist Adwoa Aboah, Senegalese-German model Alpha Dia, Beninese-American actor and activist Djimon Hounsou, South Sudanese-Australian model Duckie Thot (playing the role of Alice), Gambian women’s rights activist Jaha Dukureh, British model King Owusu, American rapper and singer Lil Yachty, Mexican-Kenyan actress Lupita Nyong’o, American actor, television personality and singer/songwriter RuPaul, American actress Sasha Lane, American rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, record producer and entrepreneur Sean “Diddy” Combs, American model Slick Woods, South African model and lawyer Thando Hopa, American actress, comedian, author and television host Whoopi Goldberg, British model Wilson Oryema and British fashion stylist, designer and singer Zoe Bedeaux.
